The InRow Direct Expansion (High Density Cooling)
from

Product Type: Subsystem - Other |
InRow Direct Expansion product design closely couples the cooling
with the IT heat load. This design prevents hot air recirculation, while
improving cooling predictability and allowing for a pay as you grow
environment. Available in self-contained, fluid cooled, and air-cooled
configurations with or without humidity control, these products meet the
diverse requirements for closets, server rooms, and data centers. IT
operators looking to improve efficiency or deploy higher density
equipment will benefit from the modular design of the InRow Direct
Expansion products. The intelligent controls of the InRow Direct
Expansion products actively adjust fan speed and refrigerant flow to
match the IT heat load to maximize efficiency and address the dynamic
demands of today's IT environments.

Energy Management
Intelligent energy management at facility level
Energy Management provides current and historical Power Usage
Effectiveness (PUE) values through the InfraStruXure Energy
Efficiency application, enabling a fact-based understanding of how
much power is devoted to driving the installed IT-equipment
compared with the total facility consumption. Detailed insight
into how effectively energy is utilized down to subsystem level is
provided, as well as an understanding of how to improve energy
efficiency. Subsystem data can either be measured or estimated,
allowing customers without power meters to benefit from the
application. An energy usage report is available through the
InfraStruXure Energy Cost application, generating cost analysis of
energy use on a kW/h basis, detailed to the rack level

InRow Cooling-Chill Water (High Density Cooling)
The InRow Chilled Water product design closely couples the cooling with the IT heat load. This design prevents hot air recirculation, while
improving cooling predictability and allowing for a pay as you grow
environment. Available with and without humidity control, these products
are designed to meet the diverse requirements for medium to large data
centers. Data center operators looking to improve efficiency or deploy
high density servers will benefit from the modular design of the InRow
Chilled Water products. The intelligent controls of the InRow Chilled
Water products actively adjust fan speed and chilled water flow to match
the IT heat load to maximize efficiency and address the dynamic demands
of today's IT environments.

Hot-Aisle/Rack-Air Containment (High Density Cooling)
Thermal Containment products maximize the effectiveness of InRow cooling
solutions for low to high density racked IT loads. Available in rack or
aisle level configurations, these products are designed to completely
separate the supply and return air paths of the IT equipment. Ideal for
any IT environment, the air separation ensures the warmest possible air
is being returned to the InRow cooling units, which further increases
the efficiency, capacity, and predictability of the cooling system.
Thermal containment is available for 300mm, 600mm, 750mm wide NetShelter
Racks, UPS/PDU, and InRow Cooling products. Front containment can also
be added to the rack configuration for additional isolation and noise
dampening.

High-Density Power Distribution Unit
The American Power Conversion (APC®) Metered Rack PDU for Blade Servers
distributes power to devices in the rack. It has a sensor that measures
the current that it and its attached devices use. It can be monitored
through Web, Telnet, SNMP, SSH, or InfraStruXure™ Manager interfaces.
Outlets. The PDU has six (6) IEC-320-C19 outlets. Digital display. A
digital display shows aggregate current being used per phase and the
current being used per outlet by the PDU. Power cord. The 6-foot
(1.82-meter) power cord terminates with a CS8365C connector. Part#

Capacity Management
Balance IT demand with physical infrastructure supply.
InfraStruXure Capacity predicts the optimal location for physical
infrastructure and rack-based IT equipment based on the
availability and requirements of physical infrastructure capacity;
and user defined requirements such as redundancy, network and
business use grouping. It reduces stranded capacity through
optimized use of the physical infrastructure and avoids unplanned
downtime. With its sophisticated simulation based on live data,
InfraStruXure Capacity proactively analyzes the impact of changes
before they occur, enabling informed decision making and planning,
ensuring that your physical infrastructure provides the required
capacity for current and future needs.
